Business VoIP SOLUTIONS (voice over IP)

PBX Solutions that give you choices, significant call cost savings and access to new integrated services. With our growing customer requirements SMT have identified five different VoIP solutions that fit into business today.

Whether you have an existing Telephone system (PBX) or desire to have an integrated or virtual IP PBX our rich product portfolio along with our experience allows us to deploy a business grade solution to you.

2 Port ATA Solution

Target Scenario

Designed to be simple, inexpensive, fast to install and surprisingly quick to recoup costs – the 2 port analog telephone adapter is a great way to save on local and long distance phone calls by utilizing VoIP calling.

The ATA device will accept any standard telephone and/or fax machine and users will see no noticeable difference in voice quality. Calls are made via the Internet to any phone in the public telephone network.

This scenario ensures a low risk solution whilst providing tangible cost savings that can be experienced within 1 month of deployment.

Analogue/BRI Digital PBX Solution

Target Scenario

This solution expands on the 2 port solution by handling anywhere from 2-8 standard telephone ports on the device. In place of the 2 port ATA device, a 4 port Quadro IP PBX device or a Vega 50 VoIP gateway is used for supporting up to 4 ISDN BRI lines.

The devices will accept any standard telephone (up to 24 ports for the Vega 50) and users will encounter no noticeable difference in voice quality when making calls. Calls are made via the Internet to any phone in the public telephone network.

PRI/Digital PBX Solution

Target Scenario

For businesses that already contain an existing digital PBX system (traditional telephone switch) but wish to realize cost savings from VoIP calls, the installation of a Vega 400 VoIP gateway can meet this need.

The Vega 400 is a VoIP gateway that can handle anywhere from 15-120 simultaneous voice channels over VoIP. It will interface either to the existing PBX systems or directly to the Public Switched Telephone System via T1/E1 interfaces to provide VoIP calling.

Features

Scalable from 15-120 simultaneous voice channels
Support for up to 4 T1/E1 PRI interfaces
Support for multiple voice codecs, including G.711, G.729a and G.723.1 for complete interoperability with other VoIP providers
Supports SIP or H.323 stacks for interoperability with different VoIP standards
Remote web management
Easy upgradeability

IP PBX Scenario with the Quadro

Target Scenario

Small to medium businesses that require more functionality and flexibility in their telecommunication services may consider an IP PBX solution.

IP PBXs come in different capacities, depending on business need. They will supply up to 70 private extensions, accept up to 4 incoming telephone lines from the telecom vendor, supply up to 16 conventional telephone ports and up to 48 IP phones. In addition, voice mail and many other PBX features are supported.

This solution ensures a low on-going call cost by utilizing the Internet for local and long distance calls while still providing all the advanced functionality of a fully fledged PBX. The Internet based IP PBX system allows configuration and management from anywhere in the world, increasing flexibility for the end-user.

Virtual PBX Solution

Target Scenario

This particular scenario is particularly suited in an office that is just starting up with little or no existing telephone services.

The benefits of a virtual PBX scenario include: low startup equipment cost with no PBX (traditional telephone system) to purchase, rapid installation, immediate access to low cost telephone call charges and other virtual telephone services. (voicemail, IVR etc)

Purchased solution is scalable and future-proof. There are no telephone line rentals to pay and no expensive telecom PBXs to maintain, thus reducing equipment operating maintenance costs. Since equipment is Internet (IP) based, this gives you the ability to fully program and access the equipment remotely from any location in the world.

The solution supports all the major features of a standard PBX plus more, including online directory services.
